Community & Relationship Development
JEO provides relief parcels for thousands of families per year, operates a coffeehouse ministry base, and delivers community development courses.
Cafe Ministry Base
Our cafe ministry base, Connect Cafe, is located in Bethlehem. Is the hub of our children and youth programs and used for relief distribution. Here we host youth events, allowing us to fulfill our vision of reaching young Arabs with the love of Christ in a fresh way. It is a safe haven where people can meet with our discipleship team one on one or for small group meetings.
Bookshop
JEO operates a bookshop in Jerusalem. People are welcome to come in, read or buy books and Bibles and chat with our team over coffee. Some of our community development courses take place here.
Capacity building
We periodically offer free courses to Arab communities such as English lessons and courses for local business men as a way to serve the community by helping them gain essential skills. It is also a great way to meet and build relationships with those around us.
Relief team
One in four people in our community live in poverty. Unemployment is highest in Arab towns and villages, therefore, the need for basic necessities is growing. As a response to this need, our relief team distributes food boxes that contain a variety of items that can feed a family of five for up to two weeks. They also make available packages of diapers and other hygiene products to individuals and organizations as needed.
